Reactivated LANGSUYR Complete Work On New Album

November 4, 2005

Malaysia's premier "oriental death metal" act LANGSUYR have regrouped after a five-year hiatus. The band, which currently includes original members Azlanthor (vocals),Azmaniac (guitars) and Bentara (guitars),has already finished recording the follow-up to "The Eastern Cruelty" EP, which was released in 1996. Joining Azlanthor, Azmaniac and Bentara in the studio and future live shows are Bob of PYRON and Xxxul of NEFTARAKA, on drums and bass respectively. The album, entitled "Asyik", will be released at the end of November via Clockwork Records, a leading ska, oi! and punk-related label in Malaysia. Asked about the seemingly unlikely pairing, Clockwork Records head honcho Tang explained that he has been a fan of LANGSUYR since the very first live show he saw by the band in 1995. "Hearing [that they were] back from the grave and without a label was an opportunity that we [could] NOT miss!" he explained.

LANGSUYR were previously signed to Nebiula Production, which released "The Eastern Cruelty" EP, "Riusgnal" CD and "The Eastern Cruelty" CD (with bonus tracks).
